Fragrance notes: tea and cakes
"In that direction," the Cat said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Hatter: and in that direction," waving the other paw, "lives a March Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad." "But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked."Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be,” said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
- Alice speaking with the Cheshire Cat in Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.
The classic novel Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll has inspired imaginative readers to follow the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole into a world of talking animals and nonsensical philosophical riddles for over 150 years. Wonderland is home to some of the most memorable characters of all time from a murderous Queen of Hearts and a hookah smoking caterpillar to a grinning Cheshire Cat with the ability to appear and disappear at will and a Mad Hatter that lives in an existence of a perpetual 6 o’clock tea time.
This fragrance is inspired by the many fantastical and wacky Wonderland characters. The scent name is a nod to the Cheshire Cat’s proclamation to Alice that everyone in Wonderland is mad. The fragrance itself is inspired by the Mad Tea Party, where all guests are, of course, completely mad! The menu consists of a freshly brewed cup of Earl Grey, with its smooth blend of black tea infused with the lemony-orange flavor of bergamot, paired with deliciously decadent almond cake, all rolled up into a single fragrance. As Alice said, “this is getting curiouser and curiouser." Indeed. Don’t be late for this tea party. If you’re curious enough to eat the peculiar food labeled with the instructions of ‘Eat Me’ or ‘Drink Me,’ than you are quite mad enough to enjoy this fragrance!
